The choice of industry experts

Prudential International is very proud to have received two prestigious awards at the inaugural International Adviser Life Awards 2009.

International Adviser was determined that it would only offer awards that would truly reflect the views of industry experts and product users – so that the results would be meaningful to advisers and a reliable guide to quality.

The judging method was carefully devised to produce a process based entirely on independent research and impartial opinion. This means you don’t need to pay for expensive research to find out how products compare: International Adviser’s panel of experts has done it for you.

Independent and rigorous judging process

Entries for the awards were invited from the Isle of Man, Dublin and Luxembourg based life companies. There was no discrimination in terms of size or location.

To enter, companies were asked only to state product and category, and to supply the product literature normally available to advisers. All entries were sent to a panel of specialist research companies and consultancies with international life expertise. They conducted their own independent research into each entry and then supplied their findings to the judging panel, ensuring that products were judged solely on their merits and not on the quality of the submission or pre-conceived ratings and opinions.

The judging panel were appointed on the basis of experience and expertise with international life products. The judges were UK-based advisers and international life industry specialists who regularly use and research the products.

Votes were submitted anonymously ensuring the judges could not influence each other’s decisions. The winner in each category was determined by the number of votes awarded to each entry.

Christchurch Investment Management is an independent firm of specialist financial planners and portfolio managers, whose aim is to provide clients with entirely unbiased and professional advice. Richard Bayle is a financial adviser and insurance broker in France and is on the board of John Siddall Financial Services. Siddalls is a long-established firm of independent financial advisers, with specialist expertise in the issues facing people moving or living abroad. Sam Instone is Director at AES International. AES International is an independent, international financial services group. Graham Barnes is Director at The Fry Group. The Fry Group provide tax and financial advice to British expatriates and UK residents. Nigel Gregg is Director at MAC Financial Ltd.
