Following the successful launch and implementation of the Income Choice Annuity in March 2009, we have now closed the With-Profits Pension Annuity to new business.
We launched our With-Profits Pension Annuity in 1991, to meet consumer demand for a different type of annuity which had the potential to provide a flexible income linked to the performance of our With-Profits Fund. As time has gone on, retirees' needs have changed and so has the market so in response we developed and launched the Income Choice Annuity in March 2009, building on the success of WPA.
The Income Choice Annuity provides greater flexibility and choice to customers, while still providing potential for income growth by being linked to our With-Profits Fund.
