Rebate Mailing 2009/2010
This year we will be mailing contracted-out pension plan customers with our recommendation that, in most instances, we believe contracting back in to be in their best interests for the 2009/10 tax year.
We will automatically contract some customers back in, unless they ask us not to. These are customers who, on 5 April 2009 were aged 53 and over.
If these customers wish to remain contracted out, they will have to send us back the reply slip enclosed with the letter.
All other customers will receive the relevant information about contracting back in and our view on it. These customers will also receive a pre-populated form (CA1543) and if they want to contract back in, they will have to send it directly to HMRC.
The mailing will be issued to all customers, who have contracted-out plans with Prudential, regardless of whether they have a Financial Adviser or not. We will not be doing a separate mailing to Financial Advisers, but the information will be available on pruadviser.co.uk.
The mailing will commence mid January 2010 and the letters being mailed are attached below.
