CHARGING STRUCTURE
Repricing
In light of the Stakeholder environment, Prudential (or Scottish Amicable as it was then) implemented a reprice of all existing pre-Premier unit linked personal pensions business, including both Individual and Group business.
Both regular and single contributions, as well as investment linked and unitised with-profits business was included in the reprice.
The reprice was implemented by removing all charges other than the existing Annual Management Charge. For those contracts with a loyalty bonus, this will continue to apply. For example, for a Series 3 plan (introduced July 1994) the AMC will be only 0.125% once the loyalty bonus period has started. Member charges, bid/offer spreads etc. were all be removed.
Contracts which have an initial unit type structure (Series 2) will continue to have the higher AMC levied on their initial units. Also, on contracts where an exit penalty currently applies, this will remain in place.
The reprice took effect from 6 April 2001.
