The State Second Pension (S2P)
The Child Support, Pensions and Social Security Act 2000 received Royal Assent on 28 July 2000. We will refer to this as �the Act�.
A major area of change will be the introduction of the State Second Pension (S2P) in place of the State Earnings Related Pension Scheme (SERPS), details of which were given in the Act.
S2P will begin to accrue in April 2002.
