Reasons Why Online
At Prudential we offer a full range of secure online services from illustrations to valuations to help make doing business with us easier. But what are the good reasons to using each of our different online services?
- A simple case can be submitted in less than 10 minutes because no re-keying of data is required. The data is re-used from the illustration you've already produced online. You may also be able to retrieve the quotation online even if you originally requested it via our call centre! (subject to the agency number you have populated on pruadviser matching the agency number used to produce the quotation)
- The Client Verification checks can be submitted online so there's no need to send your client's original documentation or certified copies. There is no need to send "broker sheets" and take time photocopying applications forms. A simple one page declaration is signed and sent to us if your client pays by cheque, and you can file the completed application form for your own records (the declaration can be printed off after producing a quotation online or it can be downloaded from the literature library on our extranet)
- Your client's address can be input quickly and without errors by simply entering the postcode and house name/number. Also If income is requested, your client's bank name and address can be retrieved by simply entering the sort code
- When applications are submitted online the processing time is often enhanced leading to the client receiving their documentation sooner which makes your service look particularly good to your client too - if applicable your commission may also be paid quicker. Also the error rate is often reduced and a plan number is generated immediately which makes it easier to track a case and reconcile commission.
- Submitting annuity application(s) online can significantly reduce time and hassle at every stage, great news for you and your client. There is no re-keying of data. Illustrations can be retrieved no matter the source, Portal, Contact Centre or even your preferred Portal. Client verification checks can be submitted online. Bank details are also verified online too.
- Funds can be requested from the ceding provider(s) on the same day as the application, using the ABI sponsored Options funds transfer service. If the ceding scheme is signed up to using 'Options' there is no need to send in discharge paperwork either.
- The annuity should be set up quicker, which means the income, tax free cash (where applicable) and paperwork should all be received by the client earlier.
- If you have elected to take commission, you should also receive this sooner.
- Our online services include Illustrations, New Business Submissions, New Business & Annuity Copy Statements.
- A straightforward quotation can be produced in a few minutes - no longer that it would take to phone the details through to our call centre. The full range of dynamic funds can be selected online and the requested fund link will be shown on the quotation.
- Even if the quotation has been produced by our call centre you can retrieve it online. You can also amend, delete or carry through onto submission.
- No need to re-key information - the data can then be carried over from the quotation to the new business screens which saves time and therefore money.
- The plan will appear on our new business tracking service within hours - giving you control over accessing up to date information on progress. Also the online process may mean that time savings can be achieved by less chasing being required as the case has been submitted online.
- There is no need to register to use the valuation service - all that's required is a Unipass certificate or your Assureweb or Avelo Exchange Portal details to access our extranet site.
- Valuations can be obtained in around a minute - substantially less time that it takes to phone Prudential. Also the service is available outside normal call centre opening hours!
- The valuation service gives you access to most Prudential Corporation
policies - this includes adviser sold Prudential policies, policies
sold by Scottish Amicable and M&G historically and finally policies sold
originally by the Prudential Home Service ("Man from the Pru" policies). Valuations
can be accessed for the 4 main product areas - Bonds, Pensions, Life and International
policies.
Please note - only Investment Bonds & Personal Pensions can be valued using Contract Enquiry. - The system allows you to input one policy number for a client and it will find & list most, if not all, of the policies that the client has with Prudential. It will also allow you to view a fully populated, compliance approved valuation sheet to save electronically or print off for your client file or to forward onto the client.
- Our valuation service has more features than Contract Enquiry
- You can see a full transaction history for some products.
- You can also see the current Market Value Reduction (MVR) if applicable for With Profit "Prudence" Bonds and this is updated daily. Backdated valuations can be obtained online which can be very useful for certain scenarios ie divorce/death.
