Discretionary Asset Management
Prudential International's Discretionary Asset Manager (DAM) facility is designed to give you maximum flexibility for managing your clients' portfolios. You can:
- Appoint a DAM at the outset of a bond or at any time post-issue
- Have part of the bond managed by one or more DAMs and the rest managed by yourself and your client, or by a Fund Adviser
- De-select a DAM at any time, in favour of appointing a new DAM, transferring the assets to another continuing DAM or managing the assets yourself with your client
- Have more than one DAM managing bond assets at the same time
The DAM facility is available:
- for new business - through Portfolio Account
- for existing Portfolio Account investors - via a switch or top-up investment
- for existing Prudence Portfolio Bond investors (post-January 2006) - via a switch or top-up investment
We have six DAM partners, who have been selected for their experience in, and commitment to, the adviser market.

For generations, Brewin Dolphin has been providing tailored advice to help our clients create and preserve wealth. Today, we are one of the largest independent private client investment managers in the UK and look after approximately £25 billion in investments from our network of offices throughout the UK and Channel Islands.
With no ties, we can deliver unbiased investment advice, searching the whole financial market to find the most appropriate assets and securities for your clients. This enables us to create a best-of-breed investment portfolio tailored to your clients' circumstances and objectives.
We will agree an investment strategy that supports each client's requirements, and review it regularly. Our investment managers are supported by independent research from our in-house experts covering equity markets, bonds, funds and structured products. They are committed to identifying the individual objectives of each investment portfolio and acknowledge the need for flexibility as individual circumstances change.
We offer our clients access to their account online through our secure server, allowing them to check the status of their investments anytime, anywhere. Our website is also a link to a wide range of useful investment information and a good way to stay up to date with the latest movements in financial markets.
Brooks Macdonald Asset Management are independent, performance led investment managers specialising in the management of private wealth.
We understand that investment management is only a small part of the overall financial planning process and recognise the importance of working closely with IFAs in order to ensure a smooth service experience for our mutual clients.
We offer a service combining a flexible and sophisticated investment management system with direct contact between clients and their portfolio management teams and fair, clean and clear charges.
From the outset we have been pioneers of fee-only fund management and remain one of the few to pass on institutional dealing terms to private clients. Similarly, we were early proponents of open architecture and have always sought to give private clients full exposure to the widest range of the leading investment managers and strategies.
We have offices in London, Hampshire, Manchester, Tunbridge Wells and Edinburgh and currently manage in excess of £2.803 billion on behalf of our private, pension and charity clients.

- For a minimum investment of £25,000, clients can benefit from Quilter's Managed Portfolio Service, which invests in a wide range of collective investments.

At Investec Wealth & Investment we have a single aim - to deliver a professional and personal service with consistency of performance and continuity of staff at a fair price.
Our origins date back to the 1820s. Since then, we have evolved into one of the largest investment management houses in the UK with 11 offices nationwide and £12.7* billion of assets under management.
We now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Investec Plc, a FTSE 100 listed company.
We believe the individual needs of each client to be paramount and their investment requirements to be unique. Whilst operating within an asset allocation framework, each client portfolio is constructed on a bespoke basis. The ability to personalise portfolios in this way is critically important when approaching the management of a client's assets within an offshore bond structure.
The main benefits of our approach are:
- Creating and maintaining an appropriate investment strategy
- Completely collegiate relationship between the financial adviser and their appointed fund manager
- Flexibility to accommodate changes in your client's circumstances
- Fully automated IT links with Prudential International
Knowing the client's circumstances is fundamental within the service concept, so we allocate specific fund managers to each relationship. They take full responsibility for the portfolio, and are available to attend any meetings if required by the adviser.
