Prudential sponsored The Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA) 2009 Planning Through Retirement Study
With increasing numbers of people reaching state retirement age alongside rising life expectancy, the research sought to find out consumers' retirement income needs both now and in the future, and provide solutions to enhance the advice landscape.
More than 1,000 consumers from the 'at-retirement market' took part in the study, as well as consumer groups, product providers, financial advisers, the government and Financial Services Authority. The study was managed by a team of specialist financial services consultants from Watson Wyatt, and was overseen by an editorial board.
