Our income and wealth in retirement study highlighted the importance of developing and improving customer communications in both the accumulation and decumulation markets. Lack of awareness and consumer engagement was found to exist among those building up pension funds as well as those reaching and during retirement.
The research, conducted alongside the Association of Independent Financial Advisers, showed that clear direction was imperative for those who provide advice and guidance to consumers, to ensure they receive consistent information, whenever they have contact with the financial services industry.
