|Pension input amount|

|Estimated pension input amount|
This tool can be used to estimate the amount of annual allowance used in defined benefit pensions schemes. It calculates for years 2008/09 through 2019/20 inclusive. It cannot be used for straddling pension input periods in 2011/12, nor can this be used to work out the pre and post alignment tax year contributions for the 2015/16 tax year.
Please note: Due to the budget announcement on 8 July 2015 that outlined the changes for annual allowance, the CPI figure for 2015/16 was set to 2.5% by legislation that covers annual allowance calculations. This replaced the actual CPI figure for September 2014.
Any result is based on the information entered into this calculator.
These can be complex calculations, if you use your own calculator there may be different results due to rounding, or a variation in the rate of CPI.
We recommend that you get confirmation of the pension input amount from the relevant scheme.
